Fast Forward¶

Hold R2 to fast-forward.

Double tap R2 to lock it on. Press it again to unlock.

If you'd rather toggle it with one press, bind Fast Forward Toggle in Shortcuts. Fast Forward and Fast Forward Toggle can't share a button, so binding one clears the other.

Settings → Gameplay → Fast Forward sets the cap: 1.5x, 2x, 3x, 4x or 6x. Off turns fast-forward off.

Some games are heavier than others, and slot runs as fast as it can up to the cap. mGBA uses more system resources than gpSP and will have a slower top fast forward speed.

You can optionally turn on Fast Forward Sound. slot mutes fast forward by default because it sounds like chipmunks and drives me nuts.

Rewind¶

Hold L2 to go back in time.

How far back you can go depends on the game, as some games have larger state files.

Rewind only records at normal speed. You can turn rewind off in Settings → Gameplay if you don't want it.

Turbo¶

By default, hold X for turbo A and Y for turbo B. They fire about 10 times a second.

Don't want 'em? Turn Turbo Buttons off in Settings → Gameplay. You can remap which buttons function as turbo in Controls.

While linked¶

Fast-forward, rewind and loading states are all disabled while you're linked.
